Still alive and well, still alive and well.
Every now and then I know it's kind of hard to tell,
I'm still alive and well. Does anyone recognize these lyrics? DD?
I am happy to report that I have joined the Artists Guild of San Francisco. AGSF was started in 1962 to give local artists an opportunity to display their art in outside venues throughout San Francisco and to expose the public to local art.
Please visit the AGSF site to learn more about the guild and to view the show schedule. Artists Guild SF You won't yet find me on the site as a participating artist but I will be represented there soon enough.
As I was in the throes of closing my shop in November of 2011 it was unclear what I would do next and I thought that perhaps I would continue to offer other artist's work on my Art & Soul Gallery web site. As it turns out I have shut down that site and come to the conclusion that I am happier painting and selling only my work. My new website is ChesneyRheaume.com. Please visit my site to see my new work. At the moment I am concentrating on heart paintings as that is what I submitted for jury to the AGSF. I will continue with my abstracts soon
I currently have some large heart paintings for sale in L'Escape Spa & Salon, 1217 Burlingame Ave, Burlingame, (650) 347-7706. Please visit Jennifer's website to explore her charming spa's various products, services and treatments.
Additionally until November 2012 when Picasso's Closet moves around the corner from where it is now @ 318 Lorton Ave, Burlingame, , I will have a number of smaller gift style art pieces for sale like original heart paintings, framed prints, paperweights and greeting cards. Tanya, the shop owner is moving to a smaller space and will not have room for my work once she moves. Boo hoo. Don't let that stop you from visiting her shop as it is a delight. She is an artist in her own right and has a bold, colorful, whimsical and friendly style. Although she offers her paintings for sale, her focus in her current shop has an enticing mix of women's clothing, accessories and home decor.
For those of you who haven't heard, the well loved shop Pot Pourri has moved into the space that I vacated on Broadway in Burlingame. Chris has opened a smaller shop than he had on Burlingame Ave and it is lovely. I wish him all the luck.
This is a new style of heart that I am painting to sell at the AGSF shows (or anywhere else):
This is a new style of abstract that I have come up with:
